Who is a registered nurse?

- Must have the required subjects in your WAEC/NECO result (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English and Mathematics)
- Must have the required JAMB score according to the university you want to go to.

All things being equal, no strike and no carry-over, nursing in Nigeria university is 5 years.
What will be awarded in the university?
You will have your BNSc degree which also include your RN plus other specializations you may choose to do. Then you have the opportunity to serve (NYSC) and do your Nursing internship.
(B). School of Nursing Pathway

- Must a science student in your secondary school

How long is nursing in School of Nursing?
It will take you 3 solid years to study nursing in the School of Nursing.. There is no strike. The delay can be if you fail or something bad happen to you or your school.
What is awarded in School of Nursing?
RN (Registered Nurse) certificate and License to practice anywhere in the world. There is no Nursing internship or NYSC. For your degree, you can then proceed to university to bag your Nursing Degree (either part-time or full-time study).
